  1. 1. In Comparing the artists we studied listed below on the blog I have learned a lot from them although their styles are very different . Wyeth with his great detail and control of dry brush. Burchfield with his loose flowing use of color and line. Chuck Close with his grid and amazing ability to work on individual sections as if each were a painting.Mackintosh's Botanicals were very controlled with detailed drawing and his use of color and water. Paul Klee with his use of transparency's using multi colored grids and shapes. Turner with his free flowing color and ability to capture light like no one else.

    2. No one artist is most significant. Wyeth has been part of my life since an early age and his style has some influence, but I try to learn from all.

    3. Turner because of the period he lived in and the level he reached. Also, his international impact is the greatest.

    4. Burchfield although a great artist I feel he falls short of Turner or Wyeth in his overall skills. His style is very basic and similar to print design art.

    5. All with the exception of Chuck Close's grid and I will start using the style more in the future but, in different ways.

    6. The close proximity of art and nature.

    7. Chuck Close
