Before leaving the fan, we made a quick drive up Monument to see the Art 180… an outdoor installation of 31 8 foot- tall murals painted by 5 and 6th graders ..Themed "What Do You Stand For?" These murals are currently being displayed in median of Monument Avenue. They are thoughtful, colorful and excellent examples of the creativity of children! Unfortunately, Richmond Officials feel they may be damaging the grass??? And need to be taken down by Friday the 6th. So sad… what a message to send to young creative minds!
