Tuesday was a beautiful day to see ART! We looked at the Chuck Close, Self-Portrait Screenprint 2012 at Reynolds Gallery. It was amazing to see his work and very insightful. The colors and patterns are different than you expect… while the internet pictures are helpful…actually seeing the print clarified how he did the portraits and provided more understanding of his technique. If you just looked at the work straight forward… it appeared to be patterns and colors, viewing through the camera made the image come to a focus... thus allowing you to " see" the portrait …
